sick little baby boy...

i have spent the last few days helping oliver jack fight off the strangest virus that i have yet to encounter with any of my children. over the weekend i thought that he was developing a cold. his nose was running and he was a bit needier than usual. by monday and tuesday i thought that i would be taking him to the doctor to check for an ear infection. he was very grumpy and was staggering around like a drunk man. yesterday, though, he woke up throwing up and having diarrhea. he wouldn't eat and he slept 4.5 hours during the day. i have spent the entire week either holding him or having him on my lap. today he is still quite weak, even though the vomiting subsided after 2 episodes. i'm hoping that we are on the final stretches of all of this. everyone else has been remarkably well and i am thankful for that...the last thing we need is a sick calvary. after hand foot and mouth i think everyone in this house needs (deserves) a few years off of calvary sickness...

Poor baby! Leslie's youngest has been sick with similar symptoms and is finally herself again. Weird stuff for sure. Praying for your little man. He looks just like Nicholas to me in that picture btw!

hey cassie... so sorry your sweet boy is sick. it's really odd because lilia has had those same exact symptoms, but just in a different order. she threw up all day on friday, had a fever saturday morning, had a runny nose on sunday, hasn't eaten well at all for all those days, and is just soooo lethargic. the only difference is that she had trouble having a dirty diaper, not the other way around. today is the first day she's played since last friday, but her appetite really isn't back yet. this is a very odd, yucky sickness! hope it's gone from your house really soon!

Get better quickly little OJ. Cassie, I hope the rest of the family stays healthy. There's nothing worse than a sick house or a sick mommy.
